Perfect Date in North Charlotte Jan 2023

Looking to boogie on down in the Queen city with a loved one? We’ve got you covered with a simple afternoon that’s sure to impress. Charlotte, NC, is a city that has plenty of activities and dining options for a romantic and memorable date. Here's a suggested itinerary that includes an activity, dinner, and dessert spot for a great date in North Charlotte.

The Activity:

  • Splatter Charlotte is a super cute activity that is going to make your loved one say, “How did you find this place?”. Located near the music factory, you get to create your own masterpiece by throwing cups of paint at some large scale canvases. The session lasts an hour and you can even customize the music that you’ll be listening to in advance so that when you roll up, the songs that are special to you two are already playing.

Bonus points if you remember to get some white shoes like Vans or Keds for you and your date to splatter a little so you will always have some cute, artsy shoes to remember the event by (outside of the great piece of art, of course!)

The Dinner:

  • The Leah & Louise is a wonderful Southern restaurant located in North Charlotte at Camp North End. The cozy spot offers a variety of dishes inspired by Southern cuisine, such as grits, local fish, and roasted cabbage.

Don’t skip the Roll Up, a cornmeal brioche roll that is incredibly soft on the inside. You should also check out the “What the Duck” if you’re a fan of delicious plates: crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, it’s the sort of dish that you will begrudgingly have to share with your partner. Leah and Louise is the place for a romantic dinner in the North Charlotte area.

The Dessert:

  • I am a sucker for some Honeysuckle Gelato in Optimist Hall. Grab yourself a small ice cream that will help you cap off the night, or go the “they only do this in movies” route and do a milkshake with two straws. If you do the milkshake, you get to keep the glass mason jar, which you can fill with your hopes and dreams for your relationship.

Grab your sweet treats and take a seat at one of the many intimate couches in Optimist Hall, or take the night cap al fresco and stare into each others eyes beneath the courtyard of string lights.

Whatever you choose in the North Charlotte area, make sure that you get your reservations in early. Leah and Louise fills up fast and Splatter Charlotte is by appointment only. If you can pull this off, your date is going to be staring at you like you’re a big turkey dinner and they haven’t eaten in days.
